Another major drug bust in the region
A $3.5-million drug bust by Provincial Police in the region. A marijuana outdoor grow operation in the Englehart area, in Savard Township, has netted police over 3,500 plants. Members of the OPP Drug Enforcement Team in North bay along with other OPP units also seized a tractor, van, ATV and a trailer. Two men from Greater Toronto are facing production charges. This is the third major grow up to be uncovered in as many weeks. Last week, $1.1-million in marijuana was seized in Strong Township, while $2.3-million was taken by police in Chisholm Township the week before.
