Chamber receives provincial funding
The North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce is benefiting from a provincial funding announcement -- of nearly $22,000. The money has been used to hire a person to help research local businesses and improve the Chamber's online database. Chamber officials say they want to ensure all businesses in the region are listed and categorized as a tool for economic development. The project is funded through Employment Ontario, the province's $1.2-billion employment and training network.
